Brand and Web Launch

On a mission to reduce single-use plastic, this startup was founded to encourage a collective habit of bringing your own containers to coffee shops, restaurants and other businesses. Our team developed messaging to highlight the shortcomings of recycling and introduce the BYO app as the community-driven solution.

Messaging

We came out swinging at the false promise of recycling. If people realized that much of their "recycled" waste never actually made it to the plant, they'd be forced to consider a behavior change. The app, then, could lower the barrier to making that behavior change and foster a community around the habit.
